Zeekr 8X Carbon Hood Cover in Classic or Forged Carbon
The Zeekr 8X carbon hood cover by RNG Design is a hand-laid carbon fibre overlay developed on the hood of the Zeekr 8X. It fits over the factory hood and turns the largest surface of the car into visible carbon without removing, cutting or repainting the original panel. The hood opens as normal, the car can go back to stock at any time, and the cover fits every version of the 8X. Classic or forged carbon, under clear lacquer or painted to body colour.
The Zeekr 8X carbon hood cover fits every version of the car
The hood is shared across the whole 8X range, so the cover is developed once and fits every version. It is the one part of our programme that needs no question about the trim level: if it is a Zeekr 8X, it fits.
Why a cover and not a replacement hood
A replacement hood means removing a factory panel, transferring the latch, hinges and insulation, and a car that can never be quite stock again. The Zeekr 8X carbon hood cover avoids all of that. The original hood stays on the car with its factory paint and its factory crash behaviour, the cover adds the carbon surface on top, and the whole installation takes a few hours instead of a day in the body shop.
How the Zeekr 8X carbon hood cover is made
RNG Design is a full-cycle manufacturer, not a reseller. The mould is cut on our own CNC machines from the geometry of the 8X hood, and every Zeekr 8X carbon hood cover is laid by hand from carbon fibre, cured, lacquered and polished under one roof. That is why the cover follows the hood’s lines, creases and gaps exactly, and why we can film your own part at any stage of production before it ships.
Finishes: classic or forged carbon
Classic carbon gives the familiar carbon look with a deep, even weave, and on a surface this size it is the most dramatic use of it on the car. Forged carbon gives the fragmented marble-like pattern that has become the signature of modern performance cars. Both are UV stable under a clear lacquer, or the cover can be painted to body colour with the weave hidden. Gloss black basalt fibre is available on request.
