Tesla Cybertruck by Renegade Design: when “future truck” finally looks finished

RNG Design 12.11.2025

Love it or hate it, the Tesla Cybertruck doesn’t look like anything else on the road. But in stock form it often feels more like a rolling prototype than a completed design: a lot of bare stainless steel, rough plastic and flat surfaces.

This is where Renegade Design steps in. Our Cybertruck project takes the idea behind the original car and pushes it all the way: widebody, full carbon package, forged wheels, wrap and PPF, plus a smart charging-port solution that actually works in daily life.

Idea behind the project

The goal was simple:
not just to “add a few parts”, but to replace the cheap-looking plastic and empty areas with proper carbon and well-designed shapes. The result is a truck that looks like a finished concept car — and still works perfectly as a daily EV.

On this build we use one of the most extensive carbon setups on the market for Cybertruck right now. Everywhere you look, the surfaces match in quality and logic: no random carbon part next to budget plastic.

Widebody kit: stance with no cutting

The core of the Renegade Design body kit includes:

  • Front lip

  • Side skirts

  • Rear diffuser

  • Roof spoiler

  • Wide body fender extensions

Together they create a clean, aggressive line around the whole car. The front lip visually lowers the front and adds depth. The skirts connect the massive sides and remove the “tall box” feeling. The rear diffuser breaks up the flat rear and gives it motion. And the spoiler finishes the roof and bed line so the back no longer looks like a vertical wall.

The widebody extensions add about 30 mm per side (roughly 1.2 inches each side), so the Cybertruck finally looks as wide and planted as its weight suggests.

At the same time, the engineering stays smart:

  • No cutting of the metal body

  • The flares sit on top of the OEM arches on seam sealer

  • The original metal remains intact under the kit

That means easier installation for body shops and a clear way back to stock if the owner ever wants it. For a more off-road-oriented look, the extensions can also be run without the side skirts.

Carbon everywhere – and done properly

For this project we use Plain weave carbon as the main pattern – it matches the sharp, straight geometry of the Cybertruck and gives a technical, “engineered” feel.

At the same time, we offer other options:

  • 6K and 2K weave

  • Forged carbon

  • Our own Stealth weave – especially good on parts like the spoiler

We don’t limit carbon to add-on parts. We also recreate stock plastic pieces in carbon:

  • Front light insert

  • Mirror covers

  • Rear side inserts around the trunk

  • Central insert on the tailgate

So instead of seeing one expensive carbon part next to dull grey plastic, you get a coherent, factory-style carbon package. All parts are real structural carbon, not thin decorative skins. Finish is fully configurable: gloss for show-car shine or matte/satin for a stealth look.

Subtle metal RNG badges on the skirts and body sign the build without turning it into a rolling advertisement.

Wheels built for the weight of Cybertruck

The Cybertruck is heavy, so wheels here are not just for show. This build runs our 24-inch forged wheels in satin black, designed specifically for this widebody kit. The width and offset are calculated for these flares:

  • No spacers

  • No strange stance

  • No rubbing

Each wheel is rated at around 1,400 kg (approx. 3,080 lb) per wheel, which is more than enough for a Cybertruck over 6,000 lb, plus passengers and cargo. For clients chasing a more extreme look, we can build the design up to 26 inches.

A small but addictive detail: floating center caps. The wheel spins, but the logo stays perfectly upright while driving. By default we use the RNG logo, but we can integrate your company logo or personal branding into the caps as well.

Charging port: design meets daily usability

Every Cybertruck widebody has to answer one key question: what happens to the charging port when you put a flare right where it lives in the rear arch?

Our solution is a removable carbon cover on magnets, integrated into the flare design. No tools, no plastic clips:

  • One hand, a quick pull – the cover comes off

  • The charging port is fully accessible

  • After charging, you simply line it up and let the magnets lock it back in place

At speed, airflow presses the piece into the body rather than pulling it away, so it stays secure even on the highway. You keep the widebody look and full charging convenience.

From raw stainless to protected, aggressive finish

Bare stainless steel looks unique, but in real life it means fingerprints, spots and unpredictable reflections. On this truck, we:

  • Wrapped the metal body in a color film chosen by the client

  • Applied deep black PPF to key areas to bring out the aggression and add serious protection

The OEM matte plastic bumpers were repainted in gloss black and also wrapped in PPF, so they visually join the body instead of standing out as dull plastic. The front light bar gets a subtle tint to sharpen the “face” of the truck without ruining nighttime usability.

Small metal RNG logos in two colors complete the look and sign the project.

For those who want their Cybertruck to stand out for the right reasons

This Renegade Design Cybertruck isn’t a show-only garage queen. The car keeps its ground clearance, cameras, sensors and charging function as normal. You can actually use it – it just happens to turn every parking lot into a mini car show.

If you already own a Cybertruck and feel that stock stainless steel doesn’t match your vision, or you’re planning a build and want something truly unique, get in touch with us:
