BMW unveiled the facelifted 7 Series in April 2026. Five months later, the first widebody carbon programme for it is in production. This is how it was built, what is in it, and which cars it fits.
What changed on the 2027 BMW 7 Series G70 LCI
The G70 LCI, BMW’s mid-cycle update of the 7 Series, was revealed on 22 April 2026 as a 2027 model year car, with deliveries starting in the summer. It went further than a typical facelift. The main headlights moved lower into the bumper, a light strip now runs along the top of the front bumper, the rear got a full-width light bar, and the model names changed: the 740i became the 740, the i7 eDrive50 and i7 xDrive60 became the i7 50 xDrive and i7 60 xDrive, and the 680 hp i7 M70 xDrive stayed at the top of the electric range. Diesel and plug-in hybrid versions, the 740d xDrive, 750e xDrive and M760e xDrive, follow later in the year.
For anyone who tunes these cars, the important part is simple: the front and rear bumpers, the lights and the grille are new. None of the existing G70 body kits fit the facelift. A 2027 BMW 7 Series G70 LCI widebody kit had to be developed on the facelift car itself.
Why we started with a 3D scan, not with the old kit
On 10 September 2026 a G70 LCI arrived at our facility and spent the day on the scanner. Every surface of the front and rear ends, the arches, the hood and the sills was captured to the millimetre. That scan is the foundation of the whole programme: the master moulds for every component are cut on our own CNC machines directly from it, not adapted from the pre-LCI car and not corrected by hand on a body.

This is why the fitment holds to factory tolerances. Every part of the BMW 7 Series G70 LCI widebody kit mounts to the original fixing points. Nothing is drilled, trimmed or improvised on the car, and it can be returned to stock.
What is in the BMW 7 Series G70 LCI widebody kit
The programme consists of ten components:
- Front bumper splitter with integrated DRL
- Front bumper side inserts
- Front bumper air vent inserts
- Carbon fibre hood
- Widebody arch extensions
- Side skirts
- Front fender inserts
- Roof spoiler
- Rear mid spoiler
- Rear diffuser with integrated stop lights
Two details separate this kit from the usual lip-and-diffuser sets. The front splitter carries its own daytime running lights, which pick up the new light strip of the facelift and give the front end a signature of its own after dark. The diffuser does the same at the rear with integrated stop lights. Between them, the widebody arch extensions and the carbon hood change the stance of the car without a single line fighting the factory design.
Basic kit and additional components
Not every owner wants the full programme, so it is split in two. The basic kit is the bolt-on aero: splitter with DRL, side skirts, diffuser with stop lights and the rear mid spoiler. Everything else, the hood, the arch extensions, the fender inserts, the bumper inserts and the roof spoiler, is available as an addition, together or one part at a time. Which 2027 7 Series and i7 models it fits
The 7 Series and i7 share one body shell, so a single BMW 7 Series G70 LCI widebody kit serves the whole facelift range:

- BMW 740d xDrive
- BMW 750e xDrive plug-in hybrid
- BMW M760e xDrive
- BMW i7 50 xDrive and i7 60 xDrive

The only difference between combustion and electric cars is the rear diffuser, which is prepared either for the exhaust layout or for the exhaust-free layout of the i7. Materials: gloss black basalt, twill or forged carbon
Every component is available in three finishes. Gloss black basalt fibre gives a deep, uniform surface that reads as a factory option. Classic 2×2 twill carbon gives the traditional weave under clear lacquer. Forged carbon gives the fragmented pattern that has become the signature of modern performance cars. All three are pre-preg materials, laid by hand, and any component can be painted to body colour with the weave hidden.
We are a full-cycle manufacturer, not a reseller. Moulds, lay-up, curing, paint and polishing all happen under one roof, which is why the tolerances hold and why every customer can be sent video of their own parts at any stage of production.
What the facelift costs, and what the kit adds
In the US the 2027 BMW 740 starts at $101,350 and a well-optioned car passes $150,000. In Europe the 740 xDrive starts at €117,900, the M760e xDrive at €159,900 and the i7 M70 xDrive at €182,400. The basic kit sits at a fraction of that, the full widebody programme at roughly a tenth of an i7 M70, and both are the only way to make a 2027 7 Series look unlike every other 2027 7 Series on the road. Frequently asked questions
Does the G70 LCI kit fit the 2022-2025 pre-facelift 7 Series?
No. The facelift changed the bumpers, lights and grille, so the LCI kit is a separate development. We offer a dedicated kit for the pre-LCI G70.
Does the widebody kit fit the BMW i7?
Yes. The i7 50, i7 60 and i7 M70 share the G70 LCI body with the combustion models. Only the rear diffuser differs, for the exhaust-free layout.
Is the kit TÜV certified?
Production is TÜV Austria certified and every kit ships with the documentation needed for registration in the EU and the UK.
Can I order individual parts?
Yes. Every component of the programme is available separately, and the basic kit can be extended later with the hood, arch extensions and the remaining parts.
How long does production take?
