What the carbon hood is
This hood replaces the factory bonnet of the BMW XM with a panel moulded from carbon fibre. It is produced by RNG Design (Renegade Design) at its own carbon-fibre factory, where production is certified by TÜV Austria. The hood keeps the front end of the car light and gives the XM a clean, motorsport-inspired look that stays consistent with the lines of the original body.
Material and finish
The hood is available in classic carbon or forged carbon. It is supplied in a visible carbon finish under clear lacquer rather than painted, so the natural weave of the material shows across the whole panel. The finish is chosen when you order, and every hood is checked before it leaves the factory.

Fitment and installation
